Introduction

The International Embedding Employability Benchmarking Project (2018-2019) and Enhancing and Sharing Employability Practice Conference is a collaboration with Advance-HE, Higher Ed Services and Online Peer Solutions. 21 higher education institutions in Australia and New Zealand are participating in the international project. The Conference will showcase good practice and exchange ideas around shared challenges in employability.

Project Aims

The Embedding Employability Exchange Initiative 2018: Comparing Institutional Employability Processes and Infrastructure aims to:

  • Compare institutional processes, infrastructure and resources for employability across the participating HE institutions;
  • Build capacity for HE institutions to participate in external referencing and exchange activity [institution-level, self-review and cross-institutional peer review] to improve their own educational performance; and
  • Introduce you to an internationally recognised methodology for embedding employability at an institutional and program level in the form of the AHE Embedding Employability Framework.

Project Outcomes

The project outcomes:

  1. A portal based institutional self-review report;
  2. Final Report with institutional, national/regional and international findings and recommendations;
  3. Institutional Strategic Summary with key recommendations;
  4. Research paper reporting outcomes from the international project;
  5. A conference and workshop on how to compare student learning outcomes in employability programs using the Peer Review Portal; and
  6. Virtual support and guidance when required from the project leads.

This website has been created for all participating institutions and provides ratings, rationale and evidence from all self-review reports. The three key performance indicators can be accessed from the top of this website:

  • KPI:2 Infrastructure and 9 KPMs;
  • KPI: 3 Resources and 9 KPMs.
